Everton To Host Roma In Historic Goodison Clash

Goodison Park will host its last-ever pre-season friendly when Everton take on Italian giants Roma on Saturday 10 August (5pm BST).

The match against the Serie A club, managed by former Italy international Daniele De Rossi, will be played a week before the Blues’ opening fixture of the 2024/25 season at home to Brighton & Hove Albion – the Club’s final campaign at Goodison before moving to a world-class waterfront stadium for the start of 2025/26.

Roma, who boast talent including Argentina World Cup winner Paulo Dybala, Italy midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini and English duo Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling, finished sixth in Serie A last season and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Tickets for the last-ever Goodison friendly will be priced at £20 Adults, £15 Over-65s and £5 Juniors (U18s) for Season Ticket Members, Hospitality Members and Official Members; and £25 Adults, £20 Over-65s and £10 Juniors (U18s) for general sale to non-members.

Season Ticket Members can purchase from 10am (BST) this Monday 15 July, while Official Members can buy their tickets from 10am (BST) on Wednesday 17 July. Tickets will then go on general sale from 10am (BST) on Friday 19 July.

Everton’s Roma friendly is added to a pre-season fixture schedule for Sean Dyche’s Men’s Senior Team that will also include away trips to Irish side Sligo Rovers – Seamus Coleman’s former club – this Friday 19 July (4pm BST, League Two side Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium on Saturday 27 July (3pm BST), before matches at Championship duo Coventry City (Tuesday 30 July, 7.45pm BST) and Preston North End (Saturday 3 August, 3pm BST).
