Everton completed the permanent signing of England Under-21 international forward Tyrique George from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee in July 2026.
The dynamic attacker signed a four-year contract with the Toffees until the end of June 2030, having spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan with the Club.
London-born George, an explosive and skilful talent who is capable of playing across the attacking line, joined Chelsea's academy aged eight and rose through the ranks. Coincidentally, the first time he was named on the bench for the senior side came against Everton in April 2024.
He made his first-team debut for the west London side in a Conference League play-off round four months later, at the beginning of what became a breakthrough 2024/25 season.
George played in 12 of 13 games – starting eight alongside new Toffees teammate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – as Chelsea went all the way to clinch the UEFA Conference League title, as well as making two appearances in the triumphant FIFA Club World Cup campaign later that summer.
In the Premier League, George made eight outings last term, notching a maiden top-flight goal in crucial circumstances, stepping off the bench to equalise in an eventual win over London rivals Fulham.
In 2025/26, he made a further 11 Chelsea appearances, producing three goals – including one in the Champions League – and one assist in just 492 minutes of action.
George has represented England throughout youth levels and is currently a regular for the Under-21s, where he is a teammate of Everton winger Tyler Dibling.
George scored his maiden goal for the Toffees in September 2026, smashing home an equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Contracted until: June 2030
