Everton signed goalkeeper Tom King from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a two-year contract in August 2025.

The Wales international arrived on Merseyside with a wealth of experience across the English Football League and Premier League, having previously represented Millwall, Newport County, Salford City, Northampton Town and Wolves, along with loan spells at Welling United, Braintree Town, Stevenage and Wimbledon.

While with Newport, King set a world record for the longest-range goal in competitive football when his kick from 96.01m found the net against Cheltenham Town in 2021 – beating the previous best set by ex-Toffee Asmir Begovic for Stoke City.

King made his senior international debut in June 2024, featuring in a friendly match against Gibraltar.

The 30-year-old shot-stopper spent the past two seasons at Wolves and was handed his Premier League bow in May 2025 against Brentford.
