Signed match-winning shirts from Everton's Premier League victory at Newcastle United on Monday night are now up for auction in order to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
Evertonians are able to bid on match-worn shirts from two Men’s and Women’s fixtures this month, all individually signed and bearing the poppy in memory of the fallen and Remembrance.
In addition to the clash at St James' Park, the shirts worn by the Men's team at home to Coventry City on Friday 6 November will be up for grabs, while Everton Women’s players will wear poppies for the trip to Chelsea in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Saturday 7 November and at home to Durham Women in the Subway Players Cup on Wednesday 11 November.
The Men’s game against Coventry and Everton Women’s meeting with Durham will be the Club’s two dedicated Remembrance fixtures.
Match-worn and match-issued shirts for all the above games will be signed by the respective players and auctioned online via matchwornshirt.com.
Proceeds from the auctions will go to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal to boost their year-round support of the armed forces community, including serving personnel, veterans and their families.
The first auction, for shirts worn by the Men’s team at Newcastle United, is now OPEN and will run until 5pm on Saturday 14 November.
