Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Everton are interested in Fenerbahçe's Youssef En-Nesyri, who is currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations with host nation Morocco, with a suggestion the Blues are looking to take the striker on loan with an option to make the move permanent.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany also speculates that Nottingham Forest are also interested, but the forward would prefer a move to Everton.

In contrast, The Athletic reports talks are "not at an advanced stage" and the Toffees "are yet to make a formal bid".

Meanwhile, the Liverpool ECHO explores a potential move for Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

The 22-year-old, who has made 35 appearances for England's youth sides up to Under-21 level, is being monitored by Everton, according to Sky Sports News.

The Blues will face competition if they do pursue his signature, with Juventus also keeping tabs on the former Chelsea and Arsenal youngster.
