Brian Sorensen stated Thursday’s opponents West Bromwich Albion cannot be underestimated ahead of Everton's trip to face the Albion in the FA Cup.
The head coach also provided an injury update on his squad whilst previewing the cup fixture.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday morning, he said: “The FA Cup is really important. Where we are in the league, it is something that we can hopefully go on a good run in. We have shown this season that we can beat any team on our day.
“We shouldn’t underestimate them [West Brom] at all. We are the favourites and we know that. We need to showcase that.
“Every time we play a team from the lower leagues, it is never a walk over. It is Thursday night under the lights – a good opportunity to showcase some good football. We will rotate a little bit.
The Blues were narrowly defeated in their last outing, falling to a 2-0 loss against league leaders Manchester City at Joie Stadium.
With 45 minutes on the clock, Katja Snoeijs left the field of play via a stretcher after recieving treatment for what Sorensen confirmed to be an ankle injury.
The Dane continued: “Katja rolled her ankle against City and is unfortunately out for 4-6 weeks. She is in a boot and that is what we can see from the scan.
“Everyone else is okay, she is the only one. Hikaru [Kitagawa] was on limited minutes on the weekend, and is still going to be on limited minutes on Thursday. But, everyone else is okay.”
