The Liverpool ECHO features coverage of the Premier League announcement on Tuesday that Everton's trip to Arsenal remains subject to change, dependent on the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw on Friday.

The Blues are scheduled to face the Gunners on Sunday 15 March at 2pm (GMT), but this match, as well as Manchester City's clash with West Ham, could be moved at short notice due to European commitments.

The Premier League said in a statement: "The Premier League confirmed the above fixtures on 21 January and advised UEFA that clubs scheduled to play on Sunday 15 March would not be available to play Champions League fixtures on Tuesday 17 March.

"Unfortunately, UEFA has not been able to provide any guarantees on its scheduling ahead of the draw. As a result, the Premier League now faces the possibility of re-scheduling its fixtures at even shorter notice, at the inconvenience of supporters and clubs.

"The Premier League will continue its regular dialogue with UEFA over fixture scheduling."

Meanwhile, Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider offers his verdict of the Blues' chances of signing Chelsea striker Liam Delap in the summer.

The journalist writes that new Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior "isn't keen to lose the new striker" and speculates that he is currently valued at approximately £30million.

"The new boss is set to stand in the way of Everton making a move for Delap, as sources have indicated to Football Insider that he wants three high-quality strikers to choose from for next term," O'Rourke comments.

"The manager’s stance could even see that price tag raised further in a bid to fend off the interest, and that would seriously test the Merseysiders’ resolve as to how much they actually want the player."
