David Moyes gave his post-match reaction following Everton's last-gasp 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday. Watch his interview here.

David, my guess is that you'd have been pretty fed up leaving here with nothing today?

Yeah, I certainly was in the first half because I thought for us to be 1-0 down at half-time didn't really reflect, I thought, how we'd done. But in the same breath, I thought the second half we probably looked as if we were never going to score and I don't think we really deserved one in the second half. Bournemouth were better. I think Bournemouth have had a week to recover – we had a game in midweek as well, so I've got to look at that and think did it have an effect on us playing? Not much recovery and then having to travel down to Bournemouth as well. So, all in all, I'm disappointed with the performance, but I'm really pleased to get a point.

Well, that's interesting because you did create other goalscoring opportunities and their goalkeeper made some good saves.

Yeah, he did, and I thought there was a couple we should have [scored]. Obviously, the shot and then the rebound in the first half is the one that comes to mind and a couple other bits and pieces. But look, I didn't think a goal was coming. It looked as if we hadn't done enough in the second half to warrant it, but we stuck at it, resilient. We've been good away from home last season, so hopefully we can try and keep it going.

And James Tarkowski turned poacher?

I think his last goal was at Goodison [in the derby], that's the one I remember more than any! Yeah, he's probably got another couple between that, but you know, we needed somebody to come up with something. We had some amazing blocks late in the game which could have maybe finished the game for Bournemouth. Amazing blocks, people getting in the way of the ball. But no, pleased to have come away with a point.

The other good news for you as well as getting a point today is that the transfer window is about to close in a couple of days' time. How keen are you to get to Tuesday and for that to close and all be done for a little while at least?

I might want it left open so that we can get a few more players in, to be honest. Let's see what happens. I feel as if I've said many times, I think that we could do with strengthening and hopefully we can try to do that. We've got the basis of some good players and some good young players at the moment, so let's hope we can try to build on it.

And from your point of view, you're talking about the possibility of maybe trying to bring one or two in. How important is it to keep hold of what you've got. You've got players who other people want. I'm talking about Harrison Armstrong, for example, and Iliman Ndiaye as well, another one of your top players?

Well, I don't think we can afford to lose any players because I think that we need to stay as strong as we can. We certainly don't want to lose our better ones. The Club dictates a lot of that and we'll see how the next few days go.
