Maren Mjelde urged fans to get down to Walton Hall Park and spur on her side as they prepare to face Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon (2pm GMT).

The Toffees look to react to a 3-1 defeat to title-chasing Arsenal last time out, with Brian Sorensen’s side hoping to play in front of a sold-out crowd for a second consecutive fixture.

Mjelde told evertonfc.com: “It is an important game. Every game is important no matter who you are playing against, but it is our next game and it is against a team that won their last game.

“They are going to bring confidence in to the game. But, I feel we are in good form and have had some good results recently. We want to bounce back from the defeat to Arsenal. I think we are capable of a good performance on Saturday.

“It was amazing going out for the warm-up against Arsenal and seeing so many Everton fans. Those are the games that we love to play. The support that we get is amazing – that is what we need.”

This weekend’s clash with the Eagles provides the Toffees with a chance to return to winning ways after the narrow defeat to the Gunners.

Sorensen’s side have been a force to reckon with on home soil, finding the back of the net on nine occasions in their last five fixtures in L4.

“We feel good! We have had a good week to prepare for Palace, we are really looking forward to the game on Saturday,” continued Mjelde.

“Training has been really good, it has been competitive and intense. That is how we like it.

“As I said, I think we are in good form and a lot of players are performing well. As a team, we have been doing well. We just need to keep building on what we are doing, keep progressing and then get that win on the weekend.”
