The Liverpool ECHO claims that Everton have opened talks with Jarrad Branthwaite regarding a new contract.

The local newspaper speculates that David Moyes is keen to tie down the centre-back as he has been linked with a move away this summer, with Chelsea and Tottenham rumoured to be considering a move.

The report also states that fresh and improved terms would be offered to Branthwaite after two seasons of consistent performances.

Meanwhile, Caught Offside discusses the rumours of the Blues' interest in RB Leipzig player Antonio Nusa.

The Norwegian international winger scored five goals and picked up six assists in his first season in the Bundesliga, and the online outlet believes that a move to Merseyside could be on the cards.

However, it is reported Everton would face competition from Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Napoli.
