Everton's new Chief Executive Officer Angus Kinnear pledged his commitment to meaningful fan engagement and structured dialogue with supporter groups as he met with the Club's Fan Advisory Board for the first time recently.
Kinnear, who assumed his role last month after eight years as CEO of Leeds United, introduced himself to members of the FAB and outlined his key priorities ahead of the Club’s forthcoming move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
At the meeting, held at Everton’s Royal Liver Building headquarters, Kinnear confirmed he will be putting himself forward as the new Nominated Board Level Official (NBLO), meaning he will act as a liaison between the Club’s Board and fans as per the requirements of the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard.
Kinnear also took the opportunity to thank Colin Chong for his efforts in successfully steering the Club through a period of ownership transition during his time as Interim CEO, and the FAB and wider fan base for their warmth, positivity and well wishes since his arrival.
The end-of-season meeting was also attended by Everton's incoming Chief Marketing and Digital Officer Aaron Duckmanton, Director of Women's Football Operations Catherine Wright and Director of Communications and Engagement Scott McLeod.
The Club's intention to continue to invest in Everton Women following the announcement that the team will be moving to Goodison Park was explained, while Wright consulted the group on potential changes to the Women’s Super League structure in the coming seasons.
The FAB also learned more about the strategy behind match-by-match pricing proposals that are being developed for Everton’s first campaign at Hill Dickinson Stadium and plans to revamp the Club's Official Membership offering and rewards platforms.
In response to a question from the FAB and ahead of Everton's appearance at the Premier League Summer Series in the United States later this summer, Kinnear and Duckmanton confirmed that North America would remain a key target market within the Blues’ long-term international growth and commercial strategy and said that more information about the strategy and its progress would be shared with the group at a later date.
