Everton Welcomes Global Fans To Exclusive New York Open Training Session

Everton hosted supporters from across the world at a special open training session in New York ahead of the Club’s opening fixture in the Premier League Summer Series.

Fans representing official Everton Supporters’ Clubs from North and South America, Europe, and the UK were invited to the exclusive event on Thursday as part of the Club’s pre-season activities in the United States.

Held under the New York sun, the open session gave invited Evertonians a unique opportunity to watch the Men's squad get put through their paces as preparations continue for the 2025/26 season.

Adding to the excitement, UFC star and Stake.com Ambassador Alex Pereira – the former Light Heavyweight champion and one of the top pound-for-pound MMA fighters in the world – was a special guest at the training ground. The Brazilian fans' favourite watched on as the Blues went through their drills, with players and staff taking time to speak with supporters after the session.

Sam Edwards, who travelled over from the UK, said: “Getting to see the players up close and speak with some of them after training was an unforgettable experience, especially for the young fans. Evertonians are everywhere – and when we come together like this, especially abroad, it really feels like one big family.”

The event was part of a wider programme of activity during Everton’s time in the US, as the Club continues to connect with its international fanbase and celebrate the passion of Blues around the world.

Everton will kick off their Premier League Summer Series campaign this Saturday (26 July) when they take on AFC Bournemouth at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
