Everton Women are excited to announce that GED Investments has joined the Club as a minority investor.
Earlier this year, Everton repositioned Everton Women for the specific purpose of taking on external, women’s football focused investment. With today’s closing by GED Investments, the Club has taken another step in its mission to elevate the Club and women’s football globally.
This investment will enable the Club to continue to invest in the squad, enhance the fan experience at Goodison Park and drive commercial growth to support the expansion of women’s football.
Angus Kinnear, CEO of Everton Football Club, said: “I am delighted to welcome GED to the Everton family. This investment is testament to the vision we have for Everton Women, and a reflection of our aligned sporting ambition. I look forward to working with them as we embark on this journey.”
GED Investments is a privately-held Canadian investment corporation based in Ontario, Canada. This is GED’s first investment in women’s football.
GED Investments noted: “We are thrilled to be joining such an historic and storied team like Everton Women. The team’s move to Goodison Park only enhances our excitement about what the future holds for Everton Women and the sport.”
As part of this transaction, David Beeston, CEO of Pursuit Sports, and Angus Kinnear will join the Board of Everton Women.
