It was a bittersweet final visit to Goodison Park last weekend for members of the Swedish Toffees.
Supporters' Clubs representing each of Everton's four global Supporters' Club committees regularly attend fixtures throughout each season.
And more than 120 members of the international supporters’ club made an emotional pilgrimage to The Grand Old Lady for their last match at Goodison before the Club's move to Everton Stadium in the summer of 2025.
Saturday’s game with Newcastle United was the culmination of a weekend of entertainment for the Scandinavians, who kick-started their visit with a meet-and-greet event on Friday evening in the iconic Winslow Hotel, alongside fellow countryman and Everton favourite Anders Limpar, who took part in a Q&A alongside Club Ambassador Graham Stuart.
An early evening kick-off on Saturday allowed plenty of time ahead of the game for a journey into the future and a roadside glimpse of Everton Stadium, on the banks of the Mersey.
And after arriving back at Goodison in plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and watch the eventful but ultimately goalless draw, the group reflected on an emotional trip.
Per Malmqvist Stolt, from Swedish Toffees, said: “We come from different parts of Sweden, with different backgrounds, but once a year we meet up for a weekend in Liverpool.
“It was magical, as always, but this time with a pitch of sadness about the fact that it was the last time at Goodison.
“Many of us have been friends for up to fifteen years now and this is the only place we meet.
Goodison Park have developed into a home for our group and it’s a privilege to be an Evertonian, because you always makes us feel welcome.”
Affiliated Supporters' Club are a vital part of Everton's fan engagement framework, with the four global Supporters' Club committees allowing members to have regular structured dialogue with Club representatives throughout each season.
The committees - the UK, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), the Americas and Asia-Pacific - were introduced in 2022 to further enhance engagement and give fans a greater platform to provide feedback and ideas related to the issues most relevant to them and supporters in their locality.
