Everton’s Junior Fans’ Forum has met with the Club's Fan Engagement team to discuss events for younger fans during the final season at Goodison Park and to look forward to the move to Everton Stadium.
The Club’s Head of Events, Suzie Parker-Myers, also joined the youngsters, aged 11-14, for the final meeting of the 2023/24 season.
The group discussed how young people could get involved in potential activities for the final season at Everton’s historic home, potential test events at the Club’s new stadium – set to be completed by the end of 2024 – and how matchdays might look for younger fans in years to come.
For the second half of the meeting, Everton’s Senior Designer, Darren Rimmer, presented the creative branding and artwork for the final season of Goodison Park and outlined the inspiration for next season’s campaign.
The productive meeting rounded off an eventful year for the 2023/24 Junior Fans' Forum, which was initially launched in 2013 to give younger fans the opportunity to learn more about the work of all Everton’s departments and act as a sounding board on Club initiatives.
Previous meetings this year have discussed the relocation to Everton Stadium, Club content across social media, Stadium Tours and half-time entertainment for the final season at Goodison Park.
As this year’s cohort bowed out, each member was presented with a certificate, along with a signed pennant from Men's Senior Team manager Sean Dyche.
Junior Fans' Forum member Charlie said: “Being a part of the Junior Fans' Forum has been one of my highlights of the 23/24 season.
“It has been a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people. I loved seeing behind the scenes at Goodison and Finch Farm, meeting Jack Harrison and being a part of the exciting plans for our new stadium.
“I would encourage any young Blue to apply. You won’t regret it!”
Open applications for the 2024/25 Junior Fans’ Forum will be announced later this summer.
The initiative is open to any Blue within the 11-16 age bracket and more details will be shared on evertonfc.com and the Club’s social channels.
Updates on the work of the Junior Fans’ Forum are shared on the Club website throughout the season. Supporters can follow the wider work of the Club’s Fan Engagement team via X (formerly Twitter). Their handle is @efc_engagement.
