Metcalfe Joins Chesterfield On Loan

Jenson Metcalfe has joined League Two club Chesterfield on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.

The promising midfielder, who won Everton's Under-21s Player of the Season award last term for a standout campaign with Paul Tait's young Blues, links up with the Spireites on their return to the Football League having won promotion last season.

Metcalfe will be hoping to have a similar impact for Chesterfield as goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, who made 42 league appearances for Paul Cook's team on their way to winning the National League title.

Wigan-born Metcalfe joined Everton's Academy aged five and was part of the Men's Senior Team pre-season camp in Ireland this summer, as well as being named in the matchday squad for the 2024/25 season opener against Brighton & Hove Albion.
