Quiet Shopping Hour At Everton One

Everton One, the Club’s L4 shopping outlet, will hold a quiet hour from 6pm-7pm on Thursday 31 August.

The idea, which has been developed in collaboration with the Everton Disabled Supporters’ Association (EDSA), is designed to enhance the shopping experience for disabled and neurodiverse supporters, the latter of which are more sensitive to in-store sounds and lighting.

It has been timed to allow supporters to view the Club’s newly released grey, blue and white third kit, which takes inspiration from hummel’s classic ‘half-and-half’ shirt worn by Denmark in the 1986 World Cup, first hand.

As part of the quiet hour, no music will be played through the store’s speakers and the number of people allowed in store at any given time will be limited.

EDSA Chair Mark Dyer said: “It’s great to be able to organise this on behalf of our members and all other Evertonians that will benefit.

“We know the store can be extremely busy on matchdays, which makes the browsing experience for our less ambulant members and wheelchair users a little bit harder.

“Hopefully this event will be well received and can be something that we implement at regular intervals going forward.

“On behalf of the EDSA committee, I’d like to extend my thanks to Everton’s Fan Engagement, Retail and Disability Liaison teams for their support.”

Beth Jones, Everton’s Supporters’ Liaison and Engagement Co-ordinator, added: “We have a long-standing relationship with EDSA and this initiative is a result of the continuous structured dialogue we have with them.

“The important feedback we received from their members allowed us to further understand that visiting store on matchdays or busy weekends can be stressful and difficult for some.

“By working with Fanatics to create this 'quiet hour' we can make our store an easier place for some members to shop. Hopefully we'll be able to deliver more 'quiet hours' for disabled supporters throughout the season."

Everton One is located on Walton Lane, directly opposite the Dixie Dean statue at Goodison Park. The full address is 183-189 Walton Lane, Liverpool, L4 4HH.

Please note, the quiet hour will not take place at Everton Two, located in the city centre.
