Beto will wear Everton's number 14 shirt this season after completing his transfer to the Blues and signing a four-year contract.

The 25-year-old Portuguese striker, who sealed his switch from Italian side Udinese on Tuesday, becomes Sean Dyche's fifth signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Jack Harrison.

Beto wore number 9 at Udinese but previously donned the number 14 shirt with former club, Portimonense SC in Portugal.

A powerful hard-working forward boasting a quick burst of pace, aerial ability and with excellent hold-up play, Beto has reached double figures for goals in each of his past four seasons.

He was Udinese’s top scorer in 2022/23, having netted 11 times in his debut campaign for the Serie A club in 2021/22.
