Everton Under-23s striker Bassala Sambou has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for February.
The 21-year-old has been recognised after an impressive run of form to help David Unsworth’s side establish a four-point lead at the top of the league table.
Sambou hit two goals in four matches during the month of February, including a stunning long-range effort in a 2-0 success against Blackburn Rovers.
The skilful forward will be aiming to produce another goalscoring performance when the young Blues take on city rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night (kick-off 7pm).
