What The Papers Say - 5 April

Everton manager Sean Dyche has highlighted the key role Everton supporters can play ahead of Saturday's return to Goodison Park.

Burnley travel to Merseyside as the Blues look to return to winning ways, with Dyche calling on his players to produce a performance that engages the home crowd.

Looking ahead to this weekend's Premier League clash in Thursday's pre-match press conference, Dyche stressed the importance of Evertonians and how they can help influence results.

"Of course we want them to play their part," he was quoted in the Liverpool ECHO.

"If they can be as positive and stay in as positive a voice as possible then it can only help. Of course we have a responsibility to give them positivity, but if they can start with it it can only help.

"I know that about football - they can help."

The PSR ruling was also a discussion point during yesterday's press conference, but Sky Sports News reporter Ben Ransom claims it is unlikely a verdict on the second breach will be announced before the Burnley match.

"We are still waiting for the results into the second hearing for their breach of rules,” he said on the broadcast network.

"That announcement is expected any day now. Sean Dyche told me earlier today that he’s not expecting it to be any different to the last time when it came relatively out of the blue.

"Burnley are four points above the relegation zone heading into this crucial game. That could obviously change in the coming days.

"But we’re not expecting that announcement on the PSR ruling to happen before the game with Burnley, which makes sense when you consider the magnitude of the match."
