Everton Supports World Environment Day

Monday 5 June is World Environment Day, which is celebrated annually and encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The theme of this year’s World Environment Day will focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution.

Here at Everton, the Club has produced a podcast, in conjunction with the ‘Everton for Change Fans’ Forum Project Group, which aims to highlight how we are delivering Everton’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.

Chris Halsall, Chair of the group, spoke at length to Ella Muers, Everton’s Head of Health, Safety and Environment, on a range of topics, including elaborating on Everton For Change, undertaking sustainable business operations at all club sites and how Everton Stadium can help achieve our environmental and sustainability aims.

The podcast can be found below.

The ‘Everton for Change Fans’ Forum Project Group, made up of supporters who have a passion for sustainability, exists to engage with the football club and act as a sounding board for some of the Club’s green ideas and future plans, while also sharing ideas directly with the Club.
