2019/20 Ticket Refund FAQs

Why have Season Ticket Members and match ticket purchasers been refunded? 

Everton have confirmed all fans with tickets for the Club’s final five home Premier League fixtures of the 2019/20 season are able to claim a refund with these games taking place behind closed doors. 

Season Ticket Members have been offered a credit or refund on a pro-rata basis for the five games and were also given the option to forgo part or all of their balance in order for the Club to donate that amount in full over to Everton in the Community. 

How do I complete my refund? 

Any supporter who has not yet completed the refund process will have their refund balance held for six months.

The Fan Centre is open between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. 

When will I receive my refund/credit? 

Supporters who haven’t yet requested a refund have a deadline of 1 July to do so in order to receive their refund/credit by 3 July. Please note bank transfers may take up to 5 working days to appear in supporter accounts. Credits will also be attributed to supporters’ accounts from this date. It may take up to 5 working days for credits to appear in supporter accounts on the Everton system. 

Will I be able to use the refund as credit towards my 20/21 Season Ticket renewal? 

Yes, supporters that are yet to renew and opted for credit from their 2019/20 Season Ticket refund, can redeem the credit online or over the phone. Credits requested before 4 June have been added to support accounts on the 12 June. They may take up to 5 working days to appear in supporter accounts on the Everton system. 

What if I haven’t processed my refund request and I have already renewed my Season Ticket for 2020/21? 

Supporters who have renewed have the option to receive the refund or take the value as credit against future ticketing purchases. 

What if I requested for my refund to be given as credit but pay for my Season Ticket via Direct Debit?

Please be aware that ticket credit cannot be redeemed against existing or future Premium Credit renewals.

Can I donate my refund to Everton in the Community? 

Supporters can choose to forgo all or part of their refund, enabling the Club to donate that amount in full to Everton in the Community  

The option to do so was included in the form supporters received. It is also possible to do so when calling the Fan Centre.  

What if I wish to refund to a different account that isn’t held by the listed purchaser? 

We aim to contact all supporters who were classed as the ‘payment owner’ for their own, and any additional, Season Tickets purchased in a transaction. This was the clearest way for us to identify who actioned these transactions, and gave them the opportunity to make the decision regarding what to do with the refund available.  

We cannot split the refund to multiple bank accounts, it is the responsibility of the payment owner to redistribute any monies to the people within their group. 

What if the 2020/21 season is played behind closed doors? 

If games for that season are affected in any way, then we will again do the right thing for those who have purchased Season Ticket Memberships or Lounge Memberships. 

When will fans be able to return to Goodison Park? 

There is currently no set date. We will follow government guidelines which will dictate when live sport can resume with fans in attendance. Everton remain committed to protecting supporters and the NHS. Football will not resume at Goodison Park with fans in attendance until the government advises it is safe to do so. 

Will I still need to renew my Season Ticket for 2020/21? 

Season Tickets for the 2020/21 season remain on sale with no current renewal deadline in place. A new Season Ticket renewal deadline will be confirmed in due course. 

I haven’t received my refund email 

If you haven’t received an email, please contact the Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Members of the Fan Centre team will be able to process your refund request over the phone.
