How do we use your data?

When you apply to volunteer with EitC we collect your personal information to identify and contact you. We will also assess your suitability to volunteer.

Where does your data come from?

  • The data will come directly from you.

What data do we collect?

  • Your name and other relevant identifiers.¹
  • Contact information.¹
  • Performance, capability and suitability to volunteer.¹
  • Criminal record and other sensitive data if disclosed as part of the pre-employment screening process.²
  • Health information – if disclosed to us and relevant to your application, including for reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process.³
  • Sensitive identifiers such as ethnicity, sexual orientation and religion.³

How long do we keep your data?

  • Successful applicants will have their data transferred to their volunteer record.

Who do we share your data with?

  • Everton employees responsible for recruitment of volunteers.
  • Suppliers and other third parties if necessary to support the recruitment process.

What is the legal requirement being met for this activity?

    • Performance of a contract or pre-contract – Article 6 1 (b) UK GDPR.¹
    • Substantial Public Interest – Article 9 (g) UK GDPR & Safeguarding – Part 2 18 DPA.²
    • Consent – Article 6 1 (a) and Article 9 2 (a) UK GDPR.³

    You can withdraw consent at anytime. If you withdraw or do not provide consent, we may be unable to provide the services and support you require.
