Sebastian Kristensen

Danish defender Sebastian Kristensen, an authoritative and composed centre-half, joined Everton from Lyngby BK in his homeland in April 2019.

His arrival was delayed by a head injury but after linking up with Everton Under-18s in January 2020 he quickly forced himself into Paul Tait’s squad.

Kristensen viewed his injury setback as “a challenge to see how far I can go” and he completed his recovery with two appearances from the bench in February before signing a professional contract in June 2020, penning a two-year deal.

He emerged as a regular for Tait's side in 2020/21, playing 18 matches as Everton finished fifth in the U18 Premier League table.

Kristensen also caught the eye in the young Blues' run to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals, producing a particularly impressive display in the Toffees' 2-1 last-16 win at Chelsea.

The Dane made the step up to Everton's Under-23 side in 2021/22 and made two Premier League 2 appearances during the campaign.

Contracted until: June 2022
