Huddersfield-born Reece Welch has been with Everton since the age of seven and is an England youth international.
A classy centre-back, Welch made his Everton First-Team debut in March 2022, coming on as a late substitute in the Blues' 2-0 FA Cup fifth-round victory over Boreham Wood.
His maiden senior appearance was just reward for his fine form for the Blues' Under-23 team and he continued to feature in First Team matchday squads until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Welch's impressive progress throughout his time in the Academy saw him sign a first professional contract with Everton in September 2020, penning a three-year deal.
The 2020/21 season was filled with notable milestones for Welch. Having established himself as a key player in the Everton Under-18s side, he was named in the Blues' First-Team matchday squad for the Toffees' games against Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur in April 2021.
Welch also made his maiden appearances for Everton Under-23s in 2020/21 - playing four Premier League 2 games. He netted his first goal for the Under-23s as the young Blues rounded off the season with a 4-0 home win over Southampton.
Welch, who has regularly represented his country at age group level, is a current England Under-20 international.
The defender was given his maiden First-Team start in August 2022 for Everton's Carabao Cup victory at Fleetwood Town.
After being a regular in Frank Lampard's matchday squads and training sessions, Welch was awarded a new four-year contract in October 2022.
Contracted until: June 2026
