Toni Duggan returned to Everton in July 2021, signing a two-year deal.

Eight years after leaving the Blues for Manchester City, she re-joined the Club following the expiry of her contract with Atletico Madrid.

Born and bred in Liverpool, Duggan rose through the ranks during her first spell with the Blues and helped them win the 2007/08 League Cup and the FA Cup in the 2009/10 season.

Duggan added one more goal to her season tally when she equalised for the Toffees in a 3-2 win over Leicester City in March 2022.

In September 2022, Duggan announced she was expecting her first child and would subsequently would be unavailable for selection for the 2022/23 season.

In March 2023, Duggan gave birth to her daughter Luella, a day after her teammates' historic night at Goodison Park where they played in front of a record attendance for the Merseyside derby.
