Con Ouzounidis

Australian youth international Ouzounidis is a strong, powerful centre-back who is also a threat from set-pieces.

After impressing for the Blues' Under-18s during the first half of the 2017-18 campaign, he broke into the Under-23 side and went on to produce a string of accomplished performances for David Unsworth’s team.

Ouzounidis continued to feature for the Under-23s the following season, and was part of the squad that won a Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup double.

After recovering from successive ankle and Achilles injuries which meant he missed the first three months of the 2019/20 campaign, Ouzounidis made an impressive return to action for the young Blues, delivering a series of towering performances before the season was ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ouzounidis was rewarded for his impressive progress when he signed a new one-year contract in July 2020. In the ensuing campaign he made 20 Premier League 2 appearances, with his sole goal coming in a 4-2 win at Leicester City.

Contracted until: June 2021
