Josh Bowler

Josh Bowler joined Everton from Queens Park Rangers in July 2017, penning a three-year deal.

The gifted forward crowned a personally excellent 2018-19 season by scoring the goal against Brighton & Hove Albion which sealed Everton Under-23s' second Premier League 2 title success in three years.

Bowler, who graduated from QPR's academy to play for the Londoners' first team aged 18, was on target three times in 16 league appearances in his second Goodison Park campaign. He was a key figure, too, in Everton's Premier League Cup triumph, which completed an unprecedented double for David Unsworth's team.

A left-footer with terrific close control, Bowler is at his most potent operating on the right and cutting infield.

His pace, directness and ball-striking ability made the Surrey-born player one of the young Blues' standout performers in the final months of his debut Everton season.

And after overcoming an injury which stalled the initial phase of his second term, Bowler quickly recaptured his best form, growing into one of Under-23 manager Unsworth's most valuable assets.
