Antony Evans

Antony Evans joined Everton's Academy at the age of nine.

Evans, who had previously been at Liverpool, can operate as an attacking midfielder or forward.

He signed scholarship forms at the Club in July 2015 and, after his first appearances for Everton Under-21s late in 2014-15 aged just 16, enjoyed a fruitful season with David Unsworth's side in 2015-16.

He began the following campaign with Everton Under-23s, who would secure the Premier League 2 title, before spending the majority of the second half of the season on loan with Morecambe. He made 14 appearances for the League Two outfit, scoring two goals.

Evans returned to the Blues' Under-23 set-up for 2017-18 and started the season in blistering form, his excellent range of passing, ball-striking and ability to drive at defenders key aspects of the team's attacking arsenal.

His impressive form was recognised with a new contract in February 2018 - keeping him at the Club until June 2020 - while he was also handed the Under-23 captaincy by boss Unsworth.

The player appeared to thrive on the responsibility - with his performance level climbing further still - before a knee injury in March 2018 ended his season.

After enjoying an impressive start to the 2018-19 campaign for Everton Under-23s, Evans joined League 1 side Blackpool on loan in the January transfer window. He made 12 league appearances for the Seasiders as they secured a 10th-place finish.

Evans returned to the Blues in time to start in the Under-23s' Premier League Cup final clash against Newcastle United at Goodison Park. He helped the Toffees secure a 1-0 victory to wrap up an unprecedented league and cup double.

Contracted until: June 2020
