An energetic and technically-proficient central midfield player, Jenson Metcalfe joined Everton at the age of five.
The Wigan-born youngster broke into broke into the Everton Under-18s side midway through the 2020/21 campaign and swiftly cemented a spot in boss Paul Tait’s team.
Metcalfe made his Under-23s debut in April 2021 – playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 Premier League 2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion – and saw his progress rewarded with a first professional contract, which he signed five months later.
Spain and Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets is Metcalfe's football idol.
