Sandro Ramirez joined Everton from Malaga on a four-year contract in July 2017.

The forward - a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy - arrived at Everton after a prolific season in La Liga with Malaga, where he netted 16 times in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Born on the island of Gran Canaria, Sandro moved to mainland Spain to join Barcelona as a teenager. He rose through their youth setup, featuring regularly for the Catalans’ B side before earning a senior debut against Villarreal in August 2014. He marked the occasion in sensational fashion by scoring the winner, just 12 minutes after entering the action as a substitute.

Sandro went on to play 12 times for Barcelona in 2014/15 and 20 matches the following campaign, collecting La Liga winners’ medals in both seasons as Barcelona were crowned back-to-back champions under Luis Enrique.

He signed for Malaga in July 2016, departing Barcelona having scored a total of seven goals in 32 appearances for the European giants.

He was a regular starter during his one full season with Malaga and his 16 goals for the club included a superb solo effort against his former employers Barca.

Internationally, Sandro has represented Spain at every level from Under-16 through to Under-21.

In the weeks before signing for Everton, he was involved at the 2017 Under-21 European Championship in Poland and scored a fine goal in a group-stage success against Portugal.

Sandro made his Everton bow in the 1-0 home win over Slovakian side Ruzomberok in the Europa League. He went on to make 15 appearances for the Toffees and netted one goal - his strike coming in the clash against Atalanta at Goodison Park.

In January 2018, he joined La Liga side Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the campaign, making 17 appearances, including three in the Champions League.

The forward returned to La Liga in August 2018 with a loan switch to Real Sociedad for the 2018/19 campaign. He went on to make 26 appearances for the Basque team, helping them achieve a ninth-place finish in the Spanish top-flight.

Sandro again headed back to his homeland when joining Real Valladolid on loan for the 2019/20 season, scoring four goals in 26 appearances - 17 starts - for the side which finished 13th in La Liga.
