Bolasie Joins In First-Team Training Session

Yannick Bolasie stepped up his rehabilitation from a knee injury by joining in with part of a training session with the first team on Wednesday morning.

It is the first time the winger has been with the Blues’ senior squad since suffering a knee injury against Manchester United last December.

The 28-year-old was given a warm round of applause from his teammates as he took part in a game of keep-ball, before going through passing drills.

Bolasie trained with Everton’s Under-23s last week and taking part in a session with the first team is another positive step in his recovery.

David Unsworth last week revealed both Bolasie and Seamus Coleman are edging closer to returning to action, with the Blues boss hoping the DR Congo international could be back by the new year.
