WATCH: Robot Helps Jack's Mascot Dream Come True

Everton Football Club made technological and sporting history ahead of Monday’s 1-0 win over Newcastle United by helping a child too sick to travel from home to become the world’s first ‘virtual matchday mascot’. 

Jack McLinden, a 14-year-old Evertonian who suffers from multiple health conditions that restrict his mobility, was able to experience the excitement of going on to the pitch with his heroes with the aid of AV1, a specially-designed telepresence robot created by Norwegian start-up No Isolation and carried by Toffees captain Phil Jagielka.
