Mason Holgate has been withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad to undergo minor ankle surgery.

The Everton defender had been selected in the young Lions squad for upcoming matches against Romania and Ukraine with Blues teammates Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny, along with Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell, who are currently out on loan until the end of the season with RB Leipzig and Nottingham Forest respectively.
