Amadou Onana has revealed how his daily routine changes during Ramadan, in a social media video made while on international duty with Belgium.

The holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting and abstaining from things considered to be impure for body and mind, began on 11 March, and is set to end today.

Having no food or drink between the hours of sunrise and sunset impacts on all Muslim people, and midfielder Onana shared a 'day in the life' video of his experience whilst with the Belgium team during the international break which was reported on by the Daily Mail

Onana woke up at 4:23am to eat his pre-dawn meal of suhur, explaining: “As you can see my alarm is pretty early.

“I'm struggling to get out of bed but it's time to get out of bed and get some food. Shout out to the chef for waking up and making the food, by the way.”

He prayed before returning to bed, waking up later in the morning to make an 11am training session, with a gym session too. You can see the full video on Onana’s Instagram page.

Elsewhere, Opta’s prediction model believes Everton still has a 94.4 per cent chance of Premier League survival this season, even despite the further two-point deduction handed down by the Premier League for breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules - the Club has appealed this decision.

In a story featured on the Analyst website, Matt Sisneros writes: “Everton were on Monday given another points deduction for further breaches of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

“This time it was only a two-point deduction (following on from their 10-point penalty that was reduced to six on appeal), but it is still damaging nonetheless. It has naturally dragged them further back into the relegation battle.

“They had gone into the weekend with a 3.5% chance of going down according to the Opta supercomputer. A 1-0 win against a Burnley side seemingly desperate to shoot themselves in the foot saw Everton’s chances of relegation drop to 2.2%, only for the two-point deduction to increase their relegation chances to 5.6%.

Luton currently occupies 18th place in the Premier League table, and on them, the article stated: “Luton are relegated in 59.1% of the supercomputer’s latest round of simulations (8 April).

“Nottingham Forest were the biggest losers this weekend, with their 3-1 defeat at Tottenham increasing their chances of going down from 19.2% to 34.4%. Everton’s points deduction did help them out with a drop of 1.3% in their chances of going down, but an overall reduction of 13.9% in the survival hopes puts them firmly in the relegation battle.”
