Lucy Hope believes Everton can continue to build upon their resilience after battling their way to a point in the Merseyside derby on Sunday.

A heavily depleted Blues squad took to Goodison at the weekend in front of thousands, but were unable to complete a league double over their local rivals.

Hope came closest to taking the Toffees to dreamland as her long-ranged strike rattled off the crossbar in front of the Gwladys Street end. 

Nevertheless, the Scot was proud of how her teammates fought their way through Sunday's encounter to earn a point.
