Danjuma And Godfrey Fitness Updates

Arnaut Danjuma has been ruled out of Everton's trip to Manchester City next weekend.

The forward suffered an ankle injury during the goalless stalemate at Fulham on Tuesday and, subsequently, missed Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.

Speaking afterwards, manager Sean Dyche explained: "It needs settling down so we'll wait and see as time goes on but it won't happen for next weekend, it's pretty clear."

Ben Godfrey, meanwhile, limped off after 75 minutes against Spurs - but Dyche revealed the defender, who was handed back-to-back starts for the first time this campaign, was suffering with cramp rather than anything more sinister.

"Obviously, he hasn't played that much football and he put in a massive shift the other night at Fulham," added Dyche. "He got cramp but - and I'm not a medic - the kind where your calf tightens up and won't realise, so we had to make a decision there and then."

Amadou Onana (knee), Abdoulaye Doucoure (hamstring) and André Gomes (calf) were also absent for the clash with Spurs, while Dele remains a longer-term absentee as he recovers from a setback following a groin issue.
