Gana Available For Spurs Clash

Sean Dyche says Idrissa Gana Gueye will be available for Everton's clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, but late decisions will be made on a number of players ahead of selecting his matchday squad.

The Blues return to Goodison Park this weekend (12.30pm GMT kick-off) looking to build on an away point at Fulham in midweek, having recorded four clean sheets from the past five outings.

Gana, whose Senegal side were eliminated from the AFCON with a penalty shootout defeat to Ivory Coast on Monday, returned to Finch Farm on Thursday and is set to train on Friday.

Dyche confirmed the midfielder was released for international duty only once he had fully recovered from a calf injury picked up in the reverse fixture - at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - in late December.

Ashley Young, who played 75 minutes on his comeback from injury at Craven Cottage, came through unscathed and will be in contention to play against Spurs.

But Arnaut Danjuma, who was forced off late on against Fulham, is "a doubt", while Amadou Onana is "touch-and-go" after suffering a knee issue against Luton Town last weekend.

Seamus Coleman has resumed training, with Dyche explaining the captain will be checked as he is lacking match fitness.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is currently completing individual work on the grass after sustaining a hamstring problem, but has not yet returned to the full group.

Speaking in Thursday's pre-match press conference, Dyche said: "Doucs is on the grass but not with us yet, so he is unlikely; we had a knock to Arnie [Danjuma] and the game is coming up quickly so he is a doubt; Amadou [Onana] is still a doubt but he's touch-and-go; Seamus [Coleman] is getting more training in so his injury has been good but getting him up to true match fitness so he is a maybe; Youngy has done great, I thought, playing for the first time in a long time the other night and I thought he did really well - he's come through that well and we're happy with that.

"So, yes, there are still ifs and buts and there are players not quite fully fit, so we'll have to make a decision on them in the next 24 hours."

Dele (groin) remains sidelined for Everton.
