Bid On Match-Worn Everton Shirts In Aid Of Royal British Legion

Everton will once again be supporting the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal in the coming weeks by auctioning signed, match-worn shirts*.

The shirts of Everton’s Men’s and Women’s Senior Teams will proudly feature the traditional poppy at upcoming matches to mark Remembrance Day, which is on Saturday 11 November.

The Men’s Senior Team will be wearing poppy shirts for this weekend's home fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion, and then again next weekend away at Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, Everton Women will sport the globally-recognised flower when they welcome Chelsea in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Sunday 12 November.

All players will sign their commemorative jerseys, which are worn to show support for the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, veterans and their families.

Supporters across the world will be able to bid on shirts from each match via matchwornshirt.com/poppy, with each auction starting at kick-off of the corresponding fixture and funds going directly to the Royal British Legion.

The auction for the Brighton & Hove Albion fixture will close at 3pm (GMT) on Saturday 18 November. The Crystal Palace auction will end at 3pm (GMT) on Sunday 26 November, and the auction for the BWSL meeting with Chelsea will end at 3pm (GMT) on Saturday 25 November.

Blues will need to create a free MatchWornShirt account, if they don’t have one already.

Founded in 1921, the Royal British Legion is England’s largest Armed Forces charity with 180,000 members and 110,000 volunteers.

Their Poppy Appeal raises vital funds to support the Armed Forces community - including serving personnel, veterans, and their families - all year round.

That support includes befriending services for those who are isolated, help with finances and housing, and recovery programmes after injury and illness.

Members of the Armed Forces will be in attendance at Goodison Park on Saturday when the Club pays tribute to the fallen.

Sergeant Andy Manning will play the Last Post, which will be followed by a period of silence ending on the referee’s whistle.

Poppies will be on sale around the ground and can also be purchased directly from the Royal British Legion. To purchase an Everton-branded poppy pin badge and to further show your support, click here
