Everton Under-18s were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester City Under-18s on Saturday morning at Finch Farm.
Leighton Baines' side came into the contest on the back of a comfortable 3-0 success over Sunderland last week and built on that with a solid goalless draw against the current Under-18s Premier League champions Manchester City, who came into the game on the back of four straight wins.
The result leaves Everton 12th in the table ahead of the international break. The young Blues will return to action on 21 October (kick-off 11am) when they travel to take on West Brom.
