Everton Team News For Bournemouth

Everton manager Sean Dyche says Andre Gomes is "touch and go" to return to the matchday squad this weekend.

The Blues welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park on Saturday (3pm BST) looking to bounce back from last week's setback against Luton Town and make it three wins from their past four matches.

Gomes, who spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Lille, has yet to feature for Dyche's side in this campaign after picking up a calf injury in August.

The Everton boss also confirmed captain Seamus Coleman is making good recovery from his knee injury, but won't be available for this weekend.

That leaves Dele (groin) as the Blues' only other absentee for the clash against the Cherries.

Speaking during Thursday's press conference at Finch Farm, Dyche said: "Seamus is still making process, but a bit away yet. Andre has been in and out with niggly calf injuries, so he's touch and go whether he makes the squad. They're the main two. Hopefully, they will be back but not at the moment."

Dominic Calvert-Lewin grabbed his third goal from as many matches in last week's game against Luton, and Dyche added he believes that Everton's No.9 is now close to being back to his very best.

"He's getting there, to true total fitness" explained Dyche. "The closest and best I've seen him was arguably at Brighton last season, in terms of his all-round game. It was excellent. He is showing signs of that recently, scoring goals is obviously a good habit.

"I think he is getting to the endpoint in terms of being totally fit, clear of mind, clear of body and doing what he does best which is creating and scoring goals. He is showing really strong signs of that."
