Beto is in contention to make his Premier League debut from the start, while late decisions will be made on the availability of Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Everton's trip to Sheffield United on Saturday (12.30pm BST).

The Blues' focus switches back to Premier League action this weekend, with Sean Dyche's side looking to build momentum following Wednesday's Carabao Cup victory at Doncaster Rovers.

Portuguese striker Beto, who completed his permanent switch from Udinese earlier this week, stepped off the bench for the second half in the midweek clash at the Eco-Power Stadium and scored to put the Toffees back on level terms, before fellow summer recruit Arnaut Danjuma opened his account for the Club late on to seal a 2-1 win.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Dyche says Beto is "ready physically" to go again this weekend and is "desperate" to be involved as quickly as possible.

A late call will be made on Dwight McNeil, who returned to training with the main group on Thursday after recovering from an ankle problem sustained in pre-season.

Dyche described Dominic Calvert-Lewin's involvement as "touch and go", with the 26-year-old striker set to be assessed after it was confirmed he will not require surgery on a facial injury suffered against Aston Villa earlier in August.

Calvert-Lewin has been training individually to maintain his fitness while protecting a knock to his sinus area and, if he fails to make Saturday's clash with Sheffield United, Dyche is confident he will be available again for Everton's next game after the upcoming international break.

Vitalii Mykolenko, who limped off during the midweek clash with Doncaster Rovers, is unlikely to be available.

Jack Harrison and Dele are continuing their individual rehabilitation from injury on the grass, while Seamus Coleman (knee) also remains sidelined. Dyche was also confident Harrison would be close to a return after the international break.

Fielding questions on potential incomings and outgoings before Friday night's summer transfer deadline, Dyche added: "There are a few circling a few of ours players. [Alex Iwobi] is one of them. Him and Tom Cannon are in similar situations but nothing is agreed yet.

"The Club has to look at the business side of it. Money is not free-flowing so it has to be looked at. If anything happens with those two players, we'll see what we can do next.

"We're obviously monitoring situations in terms of avenues we can go down but you need the finances to bring those players in."
