New Everton Third Kit Revealed

Everton’s 2023/24 third kit has been revealed, offering a unique take on an iconic hummel design.

Technical partner, hummel, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and has recreated one of its most famous designs for clubs in its portfolio to mark the milestone.

And Everton’s variant – a grey, blue and white offering - takes inspiration from the Danish brand’s classic ‘half-and-half’ shirt worn in the Denmark national team's 1986 World Cup campaign.

In the Club’s first grey strip since 2017/18, the pinstriped shirt provides a striking contrast between ultimate and neutral grey tones, a white base palate, and the traditional Everton blue, which is accentuated in key features, including the stylish V neckline and modernised shoulder chevrons.

The unique colour combination also allows the Prince Rupert’s Tower logo – which again takes the place of the traditional Club crest on the third kit - to feature prominently, along with an ‘EFC’ retro logo on the outer neckline.

Supporters can buy men’s, women’s, youth, and baby and infant kits online at evertondirect.com or in store at Everton One or Everton Two from today.

The shirt is complemented by ultimate grey shorts, with vertical blue and white chevrons and ultimate grey socks with a blue, horizontal chevron trim.

Everton Women defender Gabby George, who took part in the photoshoot for the kit, said: “It’s always nice to have something a little bit different as a third kit and this ticks all the boxes.

“The hummel design from the ’80s works really well with the grey, and the Everton blue really stands out, too.

“It’s a retro kit that looks and feels really modern and we’re looking forward to wearing it.”

In tandem with the home and away versions revealed earlier this summer, the purple goalkeeper kit pays homage to the special relationship between St Luke’s Church and Goodison Park.

In this instance, the embedded design features a repeating pattern, in differing sizes, of an aerial shot of the footprint of the two famous institutions. A block purple V neck and white chevrons in a contemporary tape on the shoulders complete the look.

The goalkeeper kit also features purple shorts with vertical white chevrons and purple socks with a white, horizontal chevroned trim.

In line with the Club’s Everton for Change sustainability commitment, the strip has been created using Eco8 technology. The process sees material for each shirt manufactured from up to eight recycled plastic bottles and minimal water wasted during the dying process.

Allan Vad Nielsen, CEO of hummel, said: “For our centenary year, it seemed wholly appropriate to offer up a bespoke version of the iconic and much-loved design worn by Denmark in the 1986 World Cup.

“We feel sure Everton fans will enjoy the nostalgic aspect of this kit, which carries a unique colour palate to ensure it remains authentically and exclusively ‘Everton’.

“Together with the home and away kits, we are proud of our contributions this season and thank Everton fans for embracing them in support of the team.”
