Youssef Chermiti will wear Everton’s number 28 shirt this season after completing his transfer to the Toffees and signing a four-year contract.
The 19-year-old striker - who will have Y.Chermiti on his jersey - joins the Blues following an impressive debut season for 19-time Primeira Liga champions Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Chermiti wore the number 79 for Sporting, where he broke into their first team in January, recording three goals and two assists in 844 league minutes.
While representing Portugal’s youth teams, the promising forward donned the number nine shirt for both the Under-16s and Under-19s.
For the Under-19s, he scored three goals in four appearances, and before that, Chermiti netted six in 12 for the Under-18s.
He joins Everton as Sean Dyche’s third summer signing after the arrivals of Ashley Young and Arnaut Danjuma.
