Everton have been drawn away to Doncaster Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues were ball number eight in the northern section of Wednesday night's draw and were paired with the League Two side.

The tie at the Eco-Power Stadium will be played during the week commencing Monday 28 August. The date, kick-off time and ticket details will be announced on Everton's digital channels in due course.

Everton last faced Doncaster in January 1985, when goals by Trevor Steven and Gary Stevens helped the Blues to earn a 2-0 home victory in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Doncaster booked their place in the second round this season, after coming from behind to win 2-1 at Hull City on Tuesday night.
