Loan Watch: Three Blues Make Competitive Debuts

Across England, many divisions started their new domestic campaigns and several Everton loanees got up and running at their temporary clubs.   

Here is an overview of how some of our promising young players performed over the weekend. 

Stanley Mills – Oxford United  

Opponent: Cambridge Utd (A)  
Competition: League One  
Date: Saturday 5 August  
Result: 2-0 loss  

Overview: Mills made his first competitive debut for the U’s in Saturday’s defeat at the Abbey Stadium, coming on as a substitute just after the hour mark and playing on the right of his side's attack. 

 

Lewis Warrington – Plymouth Argyle 

Opponent: Huddersfield Town (H) 
Competition: Championship 
Date: Saturday 5 August 
Result: 3-1 victory 

Overview: Warrington was an unused substitute as the Pilgrims picked up from where they left off in League One last season to beat Huddersfield 3-1.  

Harry Tyrer – Chesterfield 

Opponent: Dorking (H)  
Competition: National League 
Date: Saturday 5 August  
Result: 4-3 victory  

Overview: Tyrer started in goal and played a full 90 minutes in Chesterfield’s pulsating 4-3 victory over Dorking, with the home side netting the winner in the third minute of stoppage time.   

Zan-Luk Leban - Farsley Celtic 

Opponent: Rushall Olympic (H)   
Competition: National League North 
Date: Saturday 5 August   
Result: 2-0 victory   

Overview: It was the perfect start to Leban’s loan at Farsley Celtic as he secured a clean sheet in his side’s comfortable 2-0 win over Rushall Olympic.
