Mills Joins Oxford On Loan

Everton’s Stanley Mills has signed for Oxford United on a season-long loan deal for the upcoming campaign.

The 19-year-old, who can play as a winger or centre-midfielder, was the second-highest scorer for Paul Tait’s Under-21s last season, netting 15 goals in all competitions.

Mills moves to the U’s after they finished 19th in League One last season under manager Liam Manning.

Joining Everton Academy aged 14, Mills – son of former England international Danny Mills – has made two Men’s Senior Team appearances for the Blues as a substitute in Carabao Cup ties at Fleetwood Town and Bournemouth last season.

Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, said: “Stan has made encouraging progress through our Academy, resulting in competitive action and training sessions with our Men’s Senior Team.

“His move to Oxford United is his first loan switch and will provide him with vital experience in League One to support the next phase of his development.”
