Matchday Guide: Everton v Bournemouth

Please see below key information for fans attending Sunday’s Premier League game against AFC Bournemouth at Goodison Park (KO 4.30pm).

SUPPORTERS CLUB MESSAGE AHEAD OF KICK-OFF

Supporters’ Groups have informed the Club of their desire to make sure the atmosphere at Goodison Park is as supportive as possible for the players. Using their various social media platforms, fan groups are asking fellow supporters to wear blue and arrive at their seats for 4pm.

They are also encouraging match-attending fans to vocally support the team during the warm-up and throughout the game.

Furthermore, a banner bearing the message 'Fight For Us' will be held aloft in the Sir Philip Carter Park Stand prior to kick-off.

PLAYERS TO HIGHLIGHT NO ROOM FOR RACISM CAMPAIGN

Ahead of kick-off, players from both teams will take a knee to highlight unity against all forms of racism and use their platform to promote change.

This is in line with the decision made by club captains before the start of the season, where specific match rounds were highlighted for players to take the knee.

You will also notice Premier League ‘No Room For Racism’ messaging on the big screen, over the PA and on the Club’s social media platforms.

PYROTECHNICS / PITCH ENCROACHMENT

Supporters are respectfully reminded that the use of pyrotechnics, flares, smoke cannisters and entering the field of the play at Goodison Park is a criminal office.

At the start of this season, every club signed up to the Premier League, FA and EFL’s collective stance in tackling anti-social and criminal behaviour at football matches. This includes the use of pyros in the stadium and pitch encroachment.

Supporters run the risk of arrest and a subsequent stadium ban for possession of a pyrotechnic inside a football stadium, or for entering the field of play.

Evertonians will always play a vital role on matchdays and that is something the Club wholeheartedly values and embraces. However, this must always be done legally by ensuring everyone’s health and safety at all Club matches.

SUPPORTERS CODE OF CONDUCT / REPORTING DISCRIMINATION

Everton Football Club has a strict, zero tolerance approach to all incidents of discrimination and disorder.

We remind supporters that all perpetrators of public order offences, which includes racist or discriminatory behaviour, pitch encroachment and the throwing of objects, will receive lengthy stadium bans, potential police investigation and further possible legal sanctions.

Everton has a dedicated text number for fans to report any discriminatory or abusive behaviour they witness during matches at Goodison Park.

If you see or hear something, please report it to our Stadium Safety Team immediately by texting HELP and your message to 84300, or email reportit@evertonfc.com. In your message, please include details of what you have witnessed and where.

You will be sent a text or email confirming your message has been received by our Stadium Safety Team.

FAN ZONE

The Fan Zone will be open at the Park End of Goodison Park from 1.30pm.

There will be a performance on stage from Mason Owens, while the Live Show, commencing at 3.15pm, will be hosted by Giulia Bould and welcome a range of special guests.

Catering units will be on-site with hot and cold refreshments, including the Park End Kitchen, a Club-owned foot outlet launched in response to fans’ feedback and in conjunction with the Fans’ Forum.

The Homebaked Bakery offers fans the chance to sample the famous Homebaked Scouse Pie, the award-winning Vegan Scouse Pie, as well as Everton themed pies The Blue (Steak & Stilton) and The Trinity Pie, in honour of Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey and Alan Ball.

For more information on the The Homebaked Bakery, who also have a presence in the Blue Base on matchdays, CLICK HERE (https://www.facebook.com/HomebakedA/)

Please note: No pyrotechnics (smoke cannisters or flares) will be allowed in the Fan Zone.

MATCH DAY PROGRAMME

The Club’s official matchday programme can be purchased from sellers located in and outside of Goodison Park and is priced at £4.

Dwight McNeil is this week’s feature interview, with the 23-year-old discussing the mood in the squad, his pre-match routine, gym work and plenty more.

Supporters can also hear from midfielder James Garner and Leon Osman looks back at his time in the Everton’s Academy, 25 years on from his age groups FA Youth Cup winning season.

PARK END KITCHEN

The Park End Kitchen provides a tasty appetiser to the game.

The distinctive Royal Blue-branded food outlet, the newest addition to the Fan Zone, was agreed following discussions with the Fans’ Forum in 2019.

The COVID pandemic delayed its launch, but the Park End Kitchen has been a popular addition to the Fan Zone this season and will again be open for business on Sunday, from 1.30pm, serving a wide range of burgers and accompaniments.

Plans are in place to develop the food offering, in consultation with supporters, so please support the outlet and we welcome any feedback or suggestions to improve it further going forwards.

FOODBANK DONATIONS

Fans Supporting Foodbanks and their unmissable purple vehicle will be in the Fan Zone all season on matchdays. They will be accessible from Goodison Road.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

The SoccerBus service will operate as normal on Sunday. Buses from Sandhills Station will commence at 2.30pm, with the last return bus departing from Walton Lane 45 minutes after the final whistle.
