Everton Trio Selected For England Squads

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been selected in the England squad for the Three Lions’ upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and Macedonia.

Gareth Southgate's men claimed a vital 2-1 victory away to top seeds Italy back in March before beating Ukraine at Wembley 2-0 to take top spot in Group C.

Pickford completed 90 minutes in both matches and will hope to add to his 52 international caps when the Three Lions travel to face Malta on 16 June (7.45pm BST) before hosting North Macedonia at Old Trafford on 19 June (7.45pm BST).

England Under-21s manager Lee Carsley has also announced his squad for a UEFA Euro training camp set to take place between 7-10 June at St George’s Park, with both Everton midfielder James Garner and defender Jarrad Branthwaite selected.

Garner has started six of Everton’s past seven Premier League games and performed impressively in each. He featured in both of England’s victories over France Under-21s and Croatia Under-21s in March.

Branthwaite also played in both those matches and has enjoyed a hugely successful season-long loan at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
