Everton Team News For Wolves

Sean Dyche says Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in contention to feature in Saturday's clash away to Wolves (3pm kick-off BST).

The forward has been in fine form since returning from injury last month but was withdrawn at half-time in Sunday's defeat to Manchester City after feeling a tight groin.

The Everton boss confirmed that was a precautionary decision and that the England international is likely to make the squad this weekend if he comes through training on Friday.

However, defender Vitalii Mykolenko is set to remain out with a groin injury that saw the left-back miss Sunday's match against Manchester City.

Asked about Calvert-Lewin in Thursday's press conference held at Finch Farm, Dyche said: "Hopefully (he can play). He's had a few down days and it's looking more promising. He will be with us again tomorrow for training.

"He has come through the last few days well."

On Mykolenko, who missed the clash with City due to a thigh strain, Dyche explained: "I doubt he will be right for this one.

"He has got a chance for the next one. It's a risk-and-reward scenario and he hasn't trained. So, therefore, I doubt he will make this one."

Dyche also confirmed that midfielder Tom Davies is "highly unlikely" to be available for the weekend's contest.

"He's had an injury as well, so unlikely to figure this weekend," revealed the Everton manager.

"We will wait and see, but it's a hamstring tendon injury. So he's highly unlikely to feature this weekend."

Ben Godfrey and Andros Townsend also remain unavailable, while Conor Coady won't be able to feature against his parent club.
